Josh Clark is the first linebacker recruit to commit to the University of Guelph Gryphons during the 2022 recruiting cycle.

Clark is a 6’0″, 207 lb linebacker β€” he also plays longsnapper β€” from Hamilton, Ont. where he played for St. Mary’s High School.

DL Max Holmes

Similar to Clark, Max Holmes is the first of his position group to commit to the Gryphons.

Holmes is a 6’2″, 210 lb defensive end for Oakville Trafalgar High School in Oakville, Ont..

DB Nathan Stam

Nathan Stam will be staying home to play for Guelph next season.

Stam is a 6’3″, 200 lb defensive back for the Centennial Vocational Institute Spartans.

 

DL Khumail Khilji

Khumail Khilji will be joining Holmes on the Gryphons’ defensive line in August.

Khilji is a 6’3″, 230 lb defensive end from Milton, Ont.. He last played for Football North.

 

REC Khalil Wilson

Khalil Wilson is Guelph’s first receiver to join the class of 2022.

Wilson measures in at 6’1″, 185 lbs and played for the Hamilton Hurricanes. He’s originally from Toronto, Ont..

 

LB Will Leon

Will Leon is the second linebacker to commit to the Gryphons this season.

Leon is 6’0″, 200 lbs and played for both St. Joan of Arc and the Huronia Stallions. His hometown is Barrie, Ont..

 

RB Isaiah Smith

Isaiah Smith is another Hamilton Hurricane alumnus who will be heading to Guelph.

Smith is a 6’1″, 215 lb running back from Burlington where he played for the Hurricanes and the Burlington Stampeders.

REC Marcus Lynch

Marcus Lynch will travel from Quebec to Ontario to play for the Wilfrid Laurier University in August, as he has committed to the Golden Hawks.

Lynch is a 6’0″, 170 lb receiver from Montreal, Que. where he played for Champlain College.

 

ATH Kamil Kubecki

Kamil Kubecki is the first “athlete” position player the Golden Hawks have recruited in at least two seasons.

Kubecki measures in at 6’1″, 195 lbs. He’s from Brantford, Ont. and played for Assumption College School.

 

OL Michael Hedderson

Michael Hedderson is just the second offensive lineman Laurier has recruited for 2022.

Hedderson is a 6’3″, 300 lb center from Milton, Ont..

 

ATH Liam Murphy

Kubecki isn’t the only “athlete” the Golden Hawks have aquired in the past month. Liam Murphy will also be joining the exclusive club heading to Laurier next season.

Murphy is 6’3″, 205 lbs and is from Oakville, Ont. where he played for Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School.

 

REC Jacob Mattie

Jacob Mattie is the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees’ first commit of the 2022 campaign.

Mattie is a 5’9″, 180 lb receiver from Lorraine, Que. and played for John Abbott College.

 

DB Jaxxon Brashear

Jaxxon Brashear is another native of la belle province to join the Gee-Gees family this season.

Brashear is a 6’1″, 190 lb cornerback from Quebec City, Que.. He last played for CEGEP Limoilou.

 

LB Jules Gaudet

Jules Gaudet is another player making his way from the CEGEP system to the nation’s capital.

Gaudet is a 6’2″, 195 lb linebacker from Montreal, Que. and played for CEGEP Edouard-Montpetit.

LB Justice Greco

The Gee-Gees have a legacy of attracting international talent, and they’ve continued that this year. Justice Greco from Bern, Switzerland will be joining Ottawa next season.

Greco is a 6’0″, 200 lb linebacker who played for CEGEP de Trois Rivieres in 2021.

 

DB Patrick Cumberbatch

Patrick Cumberbatch is, so far, the first and only Ontario native to commit to the Gee-Gees this year.

Cumberbatch is a 6’3″, 185 lb defensive back from Alexandria, Ont. where he played for the Cornwall Wildcats.

 

LB Raphael Hout

Raphael Hout will be joining his CEGEP teammate, Brashear, in Ottawa this fall, as he has also committed to the Gee-Gees.

Hout is a 5’9″, 195 lb linebacker from Quebec City, Que., and played with Brashear at CEGEP Limoilou.

 

REC Jack Kenney

Jack Kenney is the first of three new receivers to commit to the University of Toronto Varsity Blues class of 2022.

Kenney played for Holy Cross High School in Kingston, Ont.. He measures in at 5’11”, 175 lbs.

 

REC Kyle Murphy

Kyle Murphy will make the short trip from Aurora, Ont. to Toronto to play for the Varsity Blues in August.

Murphy is a 5’11”, 170 lb receiver for Saint Andrew’s College.

 

OL Harrison Toop

Harrison Toop is the fourth offensive lineman to join Toronto’s class of 2022.

Toop is a 6’2″, 275 lb center from Almonte, Ont.. He played for the Kanata Knights in 2021.

 

REC Matthew Westover

Matthew Westover is the latest recruit to commit to the Varsity Blues this season.

Westover is a 6’6″, 205 lb receiver from Oakville, Ont. where he played for Iroquois Ridge.

 

CFC100 LB Nate Mortenson

Nate Mortenson is the University of Waterloo Warriors’ first and only recruit to commit to the team this year.

Mortenson is a 6’2″, 215 lb linebacker from Belle River, Ont. where he played for Belle River District High School and the Essex Ravens.

 

LB Matt McMillan

Matt McMillan is the first class of 2022 recruit to commit to the University of Windsor Lancers.

McMillan played linebacker for Catholic Central High School in London, Ont. in 2021.

RB Liam Talbot

Liam Talbot is another London, Ont. product who will be joining the Lancers in the fall.

Tabot is a 6’0″, 180 lb running back for St. Andre Bessette High School.

 

OL J.P. Lapain

J.P. Lapain will stay near home next season, as he has committed to the Lancers.

Lapain is a 6’3″, 250 lb offensive tackle from Essex, Ont. where he played for the Essex Ravens.
