Pair of Class 2017 prospects net multiple NCAA offers (VIDEO)

It’s been a banner week in NCAA recruiting for Canadian prospects.

In a short span of six days, Chuba Hubbard netted five Division 1 offers from Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) teams.  The 6’1, 190 pound running back from Sherwood Park, Alberta announced on twitter that his first offer came from Colorado State Rams as well as others from Oklahoma State Cowboys, Tennessee Vols, Syracuse Orange, Washington State Cougars and Bowling Green Falcons:

Currently, the offensive standout is with the Bev Facey Falcons of the Alberta Schools Athletic Association (ASAA).  During the 2015 season, Hubbard scored 30 majors and rushed for 2,534 yards on 135 carries.

Additionally, he previously suited up for Sherwood Park Rams.

During his career, Hubbard has received several honours including Team, Offensive and Special Teams MVP as well as Outstanding Running Back Award.

Meanwhile, the offers continue to pile up for Luiji Vilain.  Gridiron Academy’s Victor Tedondo announced via social media outlets that the 6’4, 235 pound defensive end from Ottawa, Ontario received two more Division 1 FBS offers.  They came courtesy of UCLA Bruins and Duke Blue Devils:

Tedondo expressed how proud and ecstatic he was of Vilain as he expressed it in the social media post:

“The most impressive of his 20+ offers given his background. From a troubled and labelled past, Vilain carried a D average at 13 years old when he started with our program. Vilain also has offers from Florida Gators, Alabama Crimson Tide, Tennessee Vols, Wisconsin Badgers, Virginia Cavaliers, Penn State Nittany Lions, Syracuse Orange, Minnesota Gophers, South Florida Bulls, Rutgers Scarlet Knights and North Carolina Tar Heels where CFC#1 Patrice Rene signed with officially on February 3rd, 2016 (NCAA SigningDay).

During the summer of 2015, the defensive standout attended several events including Michigan’s Sound Mind Sound Body Camp and Ohio State’s Friday Night Lights Camp.

Recently, Vilain ended his season with Alexandria’s Episcopal Maroon.

Other teams Vilain has suited up for north of the border include Cumberland Panthers of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL) and South Gloucester Giants of the National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA).
