Players of the week [PLAYOFFS – BC]: Uko, Baker named

Players of the Week – PLAYOFFS

AAA: Samwel Uko (Abbotsford)- The Running back was a force rushing for 380 yards on the day and four touchdowns. Uko ripped off a 70-yard major on the first offensive play of the game and had TDā€™s of 61, 53, and 25 yards in a 41-19 win over Lord Tweedsmuir.

AA: Ryan Baker (Windsor)- The Quarterback did it all for his squad rushing 18 times for 153 yards and two touchdowns and tossed scoring strikes of 51 and 82 yards in a 44-31 win over Clarence Fulton.

Notable Performers

AAA:

Mt. Douglas- Josh Lucas rushed for 223 yards and four touchdowns in a 52-7 win over W.J. Mouat. He also had an interception on defence.

Mt. Douglas- Ben Pierek ran for 163 yards and a pair of TDā€™s in a Rams win.

Centennial- Nic Greene had a 70 yard punt return for a TD in the third quarter to help his team to a 23- 14 win over Belmont. Greene also had six tackles on defence.

Centennial- #CFC100 Keon Fuoco led the Centaurs defence with 14 tackles and one interception.

New West- Andrew Delamere recorded a 60 yard pick-six in a 62-10 win over Mt. Boucherie.

New West- Sammy Sidhu rushed for 134 yards and two TDā€™s in a victory over the Bears.

Lord Tweedsmuir- Joel Klassen carried 21 times for 178 yards and two scores in a 41-19 loss to Abbotsford.

AA:

Windsor- Justin Sooksavath rushed 12 times for 110 yards and two scores in a win over Fulton.

Clarence Fulton- Caden Doyle rushed for a 52-yard major, caught two TD passes, and racked up 110 yards in receiving in a loss to Windsor.

Argyle- Caleb Rogers had an 81-yard interception return for a TD in a 27-20 win over Nechako Valley.

It’s time to recognize the best coaches by nominating them for the Coach of the Year awards. There are two categories:
The Community Coach of the Year is open to any coach in Community or Junior Football. Scholastic Coach of the Year is open to any coach in High School or University Football.
