Recruiting 101: What Coaches Really Mean When They Say ‘We’ll Be in Touch’

Every recruit has heard it. Usually right after a camp rep, a Twitter DM, or a quick conversation after a game.

“We’ll be in touch.”

Four little words that sound promising, but are often more confusing than helpful. Does it mean an offer is coming? Are they interested? Or is it just a polite way of saying, “Good luck, kid”?
