Chey Charles is the Carleton Ravens newest commit.

Charles is a 6’3″, 205lbs receiver from Mississauga and played for Clarkson Football North.

QB Evan Clarke

Evan Clarke is the first quarterback to commit to the Toronto Varsity Blues.

Clarke is 6’0″, 188 lbs and plays for Cardinal Newman Catholic School in Hamilton, Ontario. He is from just outside Hamilton, in Smithville, Ontario.

QB Nolan Kaban

Nolan Kaban is the third quarterback and the second student-athlete from Calgary, Alberta to join the Waterloo Warriors’ 2021 recruiting class.

Kaban is a 6’1″, 185 lb gun-slinger from Calgary, where he played for St. Francis.

“The environment and coaching staff [at York] are best fitted for me as well as the school’s academic reputation,” explains Kaban.

LB Haris Malik

Haris Malik will make the four hour drive from Ottawa to the GTA this fall as he has committed to the York Lions.

Malik is a 6’2″, 280 lb linebacker from Earl of March High School and played for the Bell Warriors.

“I chose York because of coach Sammy [Okpro] and coach Warren [Craney],” says Malik. “Both of those coaches made me feel welcome at York as an athlete and student. They made me feel right for the system and, most of all, I felt that the coaching staff at York believed in me. I feel that being at York I can succeed as a athlete and student.”

CFC150 DB Andros Dancey

Andros Dancey is the latest high school commit for the Lions.

Dancey is a 6’0″, 160 lb defensive back from New Westminster, British Columbia where he played for New Westminster Secondary School.

“[York] had what I was looking for,” says Dancey. “The coaching staff is welcoming, caring and motivated. I also feel that I could make an impact on the team and that it would be hard to slip through the cracks — even if you weren’t a superstar. The school is also nice, well-known, and has good programs. It was really nice to see how much they care about their players.”

REC Thano Mardicis

Thano Mardicis is one of the two newest transfers for York.

Mardicis is a 6’3″, 185 lb receiver transferring from the University of Toronto. He is originally from Kingston, Ontario.

“I chose York because I believe in what these coaches are trying to do,” explains Mardicis. “We have great players and have had great recruiting classes these past two years. This is a program where everyone is 100% dialed in and wants to put the work in to prove that York football is the place to be. We hear what people say about us and we’re ready to come out and prove them wrong.”

REC Richerd Edwards

Richerd Edwards is another receiver who is transferring to the Lions.

Edwards is 6’4″, 195 lbs and is making the move from the Windsor Lancers. He is originally from Sandalwood, Ontario.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
