RSEQ and Radio-Canada renew their agreement to broadcast university football for two years

MONTREAL (RSEQ) – The RSEQ is pleased to announce that its agreement with Radio-Canada has been renewed for another two years.

Radio-Canada will provide live coast-to-coast coverage of nine regular season games as well as a pair of post-season games including the Dunsmore Cup. Live broadcasts will begin on Saturday August 31st 2013.

For each game broadcast, this new partnership includes enhanced coveraged of the RSEQ with seven minute segments that will expose viewers to all RSEQ sports across all three of its sectors – high-school, CEGEP and university.

In addition, the national broadcaster will also provide a weekly RSEQ sports capsule during the nightly national news that will provide student-athletes with visibility across Canada.

Also on tap in 2013 is the broadcast of a pair of RSEQ Division 1 college football regular season games.

The RSEQ (Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec) ensures the promotion and development of sports and physical activity among students, from introduction to high-level sports.  As such, it promotes education, scholastic achievement and health among youth.
