Season to remember: CFC100 Wilfer’s high school career ends as a champion

The end of your high school football career is something that everyone who plays this amazing game will always remember. For CFC100 Kyle Wilfer, his season ended as a champion.

“The highlight of my season was hoisting the ANAVETS Bowl Trophy for my team and celebrating with my teammates knowing that all of our goals that season were completed fully in that very moment,” he mentioned. “St. Paul’s football was an amazing 4 years in my life and to end that chapter of my career in that fashion is a blessing.”

As mentioned above, Wilfer was an integral part of CFC50 St. Paul’s undefeated 2017 provincial championship in the WHSFL in Manitoba. A force in the trenches, the University of Manitoba Bisons are lucky to be getting this young recruit.

“My offseason plans are to get bigger, faster, and stronger by training with the Manitoba Bisons, who I have committed too. I also want to better my footwork as this will give me an advantage at the next level,” he said.

Wilfer states that his family has supported him throughout his career and credits them with helping him to get where he is today. He also has some other “thank you’s” he would like to finish with.

“I would also like to thank the St. Paul’s high school football program for an amazing four years that have shaped me into the player I am today. High School football is something that I will remember forever as I have made friends with people who I will be close with for the rest of my life.”

He goes on to say;

“Finally I would like to thank Canada Football Chat for all the coverage this season and for recognizing my talents nationally. It has been a truly remarkable season due to all of these things, and I am looking forward to starting my career at the U Sports level with the Manitoba Bisons.”
