SFUs Herdman showing well at NFL Senior Bowl

Jordan Herdman is one of three players from the Division 2 ranks at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama. Β A last-minute addition to the Senior Bowl rosters, Herdman was a dominant force during his time in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference playing for SFU football. He holds conference records in tackles with 428, and holds the single game record for most tackles in a game with 26. He also holds the record for most tackles in a single season with 165. He was ninth in all of Division II in tackles per game.

Feedback from practices:

Alex Kozora at SteelersΒ Depot had this to day:

  • Another small school who is showing up. Simon Fraser inside linebacker Jordan Herdman is quick to diagnose and fill against the run. Works off blocks and reads the key of the guard to know where the ball is going. Showed sideline to sideline range to take Hunt to the ground. Β I forget his name half the time and end up calling him, β€œSimon Fraser,” but I’ll have to remember it soon enough.
  • Aaron Nagler of the Green Bay Press-Gazette mentioned that Herdman “flashed more than a few times today” on his Twitter page. Herdman aΒ bit undersized at 5-10 for a linebacker, but teams have been more willing to look past size in recent years if you are able to produce.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
