Burnaby, BC – The Simon Fraser University football team will open the 2013 Great Northwest Athletic Conference season on Saturday, September 7 when they travel to Arcata, CA to face the Humboldt State Lumberjacks.
After the trip to face Humboldt, the Clan will have a bye week before heading out on the road once again, this time traveling to Ellensburg, WA to visit the Central Washington Wildcats.
SFU’s home opener at Terry Fox Field will be on Saturday, September 28 against the Western Oregon Wolves.
The Clan will have three home dates to end the season as they try to reach the NCAA Division II post-season for the first time as they host Dixie State on November 2 at 1:00 p.m., Humboldt State on November 9 at 6:00 p.m. and Azusa Pacific on November 16 at 2:00 p.m.
The SFU football team will start their 2013 campaign with training camp atop Burnaby Mountain beginning in August.
