  • The Waterloo Warriors’ CFC100s QB Tre and DB Tyrell Ford brothers along with Queen’s DE Anthony Federico and Western CFC100 DT Deionte Knight were invited to participate at Buffalo’s NFL Pro Day in front of NFL scouts last week. QB Tre Ford ran a 4.45 40, had a 36-inch vertical, and a 10’5” broad jump, while twin brother DB Tyrell Ford ran a 4.44 40, had a 36.5-inch vertical, and a 10’6” broad jump, also posting an impressive 17 reps on the bench press.  Tre then added 17 bench press reps to his name while also running a 6.85 3-cone and 4.27 shuttle at the CFL combine this week, while his brother made his own 40 time even faster, hitting a 4.42, while coming in at a 7.03 on the 3-cone and matching 4.27 shuttle. The feeling is now that Tre Ford will almost certainly be at an NFL training camp following his recent performances.

U SPORTS/NCAA COMMITS

  • LB Alex Singleton signed with the Denver Broncos last week on a one-year contract. The linebacker was the Eagles leading tackler in both the 2021 and 2020 seasons, and has posted 262 tackles, 5 PBUs, 3 fumble recoveries, 1 forced fumble, and 2 touchdowns in 42 games (19 starts). He is one of the NFL’s most underrated players and getting him for only $1.1 million guaranteed is a massive steal.

U SPORTS/NCAA CONSIDERATIONS

  • The U Sports guys weren’t the only Canadians participating in pro days down south, as many of last years CFL Draft future picks have had theirs too.
