South of the Border: CFC100 WR Wayne shining in Pitt and CFC100 DB Elad looking for a new home

  • Now 3 weeks into college football, the two most notable Canadians in NCAA action have been none other than top prospects in this upcoming draft. CFC100 Illinois RB Chase Brown has rushed for 496 yards through his first three games, adding 2 TDs and 25 receiving yards. CFC100 Pittsburgh WR Jared Wayne has developed a connection with USC transfer QB Kedon Slovis, and it appears he’s settled into the number one role nicely, having accumulated 13 catches for 265 yards through his first 3 games.

  • Former CFC100 Ohio cornerback Jett Elad, who was a standout player in the shortened 2020 MAC season entered the transfer portal a few months back, and remains in it. In the past couple weeks he’s received a handful of offers, most notably from Hawaii. The 6’2”, 205 versatile defensive back will be a coveted addition to whatever team he lands with.

  • 6’3”, 190lbs CFC60 WR Nick Cenacle was offered a last minute scholarship by the University of Hawaii in August and made the trip out to O’ahu. The 2021 RSEQ DI offensive MVP was originally committed to Montreal a few months back, before committing to McGill in tandem with his Vanier College quarterback and 2021 RSEQ DI MVP CFC60 Eloa Latendresse-Regimbald, however he couldn’t pass up this last minute chance from Hawaii. He now brings an element of speed and length to the Rainbow Warriors receiver room.
