- In week 9 of NFL action, one game in particular stood out with their Canadian content. The Cowboys played the Steelers, where the Steelers maintained their undefeated season, winning 24-19. CFC100 Chase Claypool had 8 catches for 69 yards for the Steelers, while for the Cowboys, CFC100 Neville Gallimore had 2 tackles and a TFL, despite his stat line not reflecting the havoc he wreaked on the defensive line. Tyrone Crawford blocked a PAT attempt, in addition to having a strip-sack on Ben Roethlisberger that was called back due to a flag elsewhere on the play. DT Eli Ankou and LS L.P. Ladouceur also contributed for the Cowboys in the loss.
- This weekend, in week 11 of college football, some Canadian underclassmen had breakout games. Redshirt freshman safety CFC100 Jett Elad had 4 tackles and a pick for Ohio in a game against Akron. CFC100 Jesse Luketa had 9 tackles for the struggling Penn State in a loss against Nebraska, and over in the Big 12, true freshman CFC100 Akheem Mesidor continued wreaking havoc on the defensive line with 4 tackles and a sack. In the Big 10, the CFC100 twins had a game as well as RB Chase Brown had 17 carries for 131 yards and S Sydney Brown had 5 tackles.
- Fortunately, college football is played no later than Saturday in almost all cases, so we can sneak the weekendβs games in, whereas we normally canβt say the same for the NFL games. This weekend, CFC40 Draft Prospects were making plays all over. CFC100 CB Patrice Rene had 9 tackles for UNC, CFC100 CB Deane Leonard had 5 tackles for Ole Miss, CFC100 S Alonzo Addae had 8 tackles for WVU, CFC60 DT Mohamed Diallo had 4 tackles for CMU, CFC100 DE Daniel Joseph had 4 tackles for NC State, and CFC100 WR Terrell Jana had 3 catches for 46 yards for Virginia.
