South of the Border: Massive week with CFC100 signing in the NFL and making NCAA transfers

  • Following workouts with 12 and 6 different NFL teams respectively, BC Lions FPC QB Nathan Rourke and Winnipeg Blue Bombers CFC100 CB Tyrell FordΒ have officially signed in the NFL. After being the league’s top player by a wide margin in the first half of the year before getting hurt, Rourke still managed to be the league’s Most Outstanding Canadian, and has been rewarded for his performance with a contract to continue his career with the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he’ll likely back up QB Trevor Lawrence. Freak athlete Tyrell Ford signed with the Green Bay Packers, who is the twin brother of Edmonton Elks CFC100 QB Tre Ford.

  • Following his 900 yard campaign at Hawaii, CFC100 WR Nick Mardner transferred to Cincinnati last season where he only put up 218 yards. The 6’6”, 215lbs receiver has now transferred again to Auburn, where he will reunite with his former receiver coach and hopefully put himself on the NFL radar as he plays out his final year of eligibility.

U SPORTS/NCAA COMMITS

  • After starting at tackle as a true sophomore this past season for Virginia, CFC100 OT Logan Taylor has transferred to Boston College, where he’ll team up on the offensive line with fellow CFC100 OL Kyle Hergel. Coming out of high school, Taylor was a highly touted recruit with a ton of high-profile offers including Penn State, Ole Miss, Florida, Tennessee, and North Carolina.
