The Big Decision……

Hope everyone had a great Christmas. Well the rest of Canada is relaxing and spending time with family. If you’re a grade 12 football player, it can be not so relaxing. The date is coming closer to where I need to choose a University after high school. Meeting with coaches has so far been a very interesting experience. Every coach has their philosophy on how a player should pick a school and what their school has to offer me.
What I have got so far it looks something like this;
1. Education (Do they have what I want to take?)
2. Football Team (What is their record, will this team help me to get to the next level?)
3. Financial (How much does it cost to go there?)
4. Social (How far will I be from my family?)
5. Roster Synergy (How many players in my postion, what position does the coach see me in?)
6.Facility (Access, campus ease)
7.City (Environment, travelling)

What I can see right now it looks like those are the main points.
I have narrowed it down to about 5 schools. I am visiting 4 of them in the New year, even though I am favoring one right now. I think visiting the schools will help me choose the school that I want to attend. It’s a big decision and I want to make the right one for me. I know a few guys that have already committed and made their decision. For me it was narrowing it down, knowing the schools that I do not want to attend was the key for me. Whatever school I choose it will be a big part of my life.
Happy New Year!
