The Saints are coming!

Β NCAFA introduces 18th club team

Starting in August 2013, youth under the age of 13 years old who want to play football in the Aylmer sector and the west portion of the Hull sector will be able to try-out for the new minor football team called the Outaouais Saints.

According to the President of the Saints, Sylvain Schetagne: β€œWith the growing interest of elementary students for football and the arrival of a CFL team in the region, we are pleased to offer more youth from the Aylmer and Hull sectors an elite football program to train elite football champions, in victory and in defeat. ”

Denis PichΓ©, Head Coach of the Griffons du CΓ©gep de l’Outaouais welcomed the announcement: β€œThis is a great project and it will have a direct impact on the development of football in the Outaouais. Young people in the region will have another option to hone their skills and learn the basics of football”

This expansion team will join the Gatineau Vikings in the National Capital Amateur Football Association in the summer of 2013. Players interested in joining the club can do so at a selection camp beginning on August 6, 2013 at Mont-Bleu Stadium at 18:00. Players wishing to participate must register for the try-out camp by mid-June on theΒ AFMO web site.
