Antoine has spent his entire minor football career as a member of the Toronto Thunder of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL), and has made the most of his time with the club. Last season,  Antoine was awarded Team Defensive MVP for a sensational campaign in which he ranked in the top 5 in the league for interceptions.

Recently Antoine represented the Wettges Conference in the 2013 OVFL Prospects Game and helped the team to a 42-7 victory.  Additionally, Antoine was a member of the under-17 GTA Rising Stars team.

Antoine’s favorite memory with the Thunder was a game under Friday Night Lights when he caught an interception and registered several tackles to help his team secure a one point victory.

The defensive back credits his mother as the most influential person on his life both on and off the field.

“She’s always telling me to strive forward and be the best you can be,”  explains Antoine.

Antoine also cites the ongoing support from his family as a crucial factor in his development both as a player and a student.

Fittingly, Antoine’s favorite professional is long time former Baltimore Raven and current Houston Texan Ed Reed, who plays the free safety position. Antoine admires the clutch play of the future Hall of Fame safety as well as the multiple roles Reed plays on the field.

“He’s very versatile in his game; not only is he a ball hawk but he can also make hits and that’s something I’ve acquired from watching him play,” says Antoine.

Antoine is currently a member of the varsity Thunder team and will look to solidify his status as one of the elite defensive backs in the class of 2014 with a solid 2013 campaign.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
