NFL teams are taking notice of players north of the border.
Recently, both the Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers contacted Vanier Cup Champions UBC Thunderbirds about three players.
The Chiefs are interested in both Terrell Davis and Quinn Van Gylswyk. Davis, a linebacker from Victoria, British Columbia. amassed 118 total tackles (63 solo, 55 assisted tackles), 9.5 tackles for a loss, recorded 5.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and two interceptions during the 2015 season.
Van Gylswyk, a kicker/punter from Victoria, British Columbia had 810 punting yards on 18 kicks, 557 kickoff yards on 10 kicks, eight PAT’s as well as three successful field goal attempts last fall. For his efforts, the CIS recognized him by selecting him as a First-Team All Canadian.
Meanwhile, the Steelers were inquiring about Kelowna, British Columbia defensive back Taylor Loffler. In 2015, he racked up 98 total tackles (68 solo, 38 assisted), six tackles for a loss, a forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and four interceptions.
