Two more CFC100s receive first NCAA offers

CFC100 Nick Mardner patience has paid off as he announced via social media that he has received his first NCAA offer with the University of Maine.

“Yeah, it felt good that my talent was finally noticed and I really think that Canadians are really slept on so it feels good to be noticed,” Mardner said.

The 6-foot-5 and 185-pound receiver from Oakville has been working towards this moment for 11 years. Making the decision to join Football North in its inaugural season in 2016, was probably the best decision for him.

Football North head coach, Larry Jusdanis said, “Nick is an explosive long tall athlete who is competitive. Ā His large wingspan enables him to win many jump balls. Ā He is your prototypical backside number one wide receiver who creates mismatches.”

Mardner will no doubt continue to get more offers as he plays through this season down south. It has been reported that he is playing terrific football….just what he needs to get more attention!

Another Football North product, future CFC100 receiver, Clark Barnes, has the NCAA knocking at his door. Liberty University has extended their hand to the explosive athlete.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
