Western Mustangs CFC100 commit excited to work again with coaches

Western adds a CFC100 prospect to their Class of 2018.

In his short career, offensive line CFC100 Alex Berwick has turned heads and now, after battling in the trenches for Football North St. Joes, he will be bringing his size and skill to the Western Mustangs.

Berwick stands at 6’3, 310lbs and has only been playing for two and a half years. In that time, he has played with the Gloucester Raiders (NCAFA), the Cumberland Panthers (OPFL) and Team Ontario. While on the provincial team, he had the chance to play for Jean-Paul Circelli, the Mustangs’ offensive line coach.

“I chose to commit to Western because I love to work with Coach JP. I loved having him as a coach on Team Ontario and wanted to continue with him in my career,” Berwick said. “Also, Western just had a good vibe to me and I thought it’s were I’m meant to be.”

He added that the Mustangs coaches are “the best coaches you could have.”

Hailing from Clarence Creek, Ontario, which is north-east of Ottawa, Berwick is interested in either criminology or kinesiology.

Happy to announce my commitment to the Western Mustangs?
