Midget: Coquitlam Falcons vs White Rock Titans

Two teams are left standing at 3-0 on the season in the Midget Division – the Coquitlam Falcons and the White Rock Titans – but only one will remain after Week 4.

The Falcons have yet to allow a point all year with shutouts over Chilliwack and North Langley and then further received a forfeit win over Richmond last weekend.

As far as the Titans go, they too have had decisive wins over North Langley and Chilliwack albeit not shutout victories. In Week 3, the Titans sqeaked out a win over Meadow Ridge in a battle out in the valley last Saturday night.

This game sets up as the must-see game of the weekend where fans will get to see if the Falcons’ defense will hold once again or if the Titans’ air game will be too much to handle. Game time is this Sunday, September 23 at 3:30 pm at the South Surrey Athletic Park.

Bantam: North Surrey Tigers vs Langley Mustangs

The North Surrey Tigers are 3-0 after two big shutouts over Cloverdale in Weeks 1 and 3 combined with a close win over the South Delta Rams in Week2. However, this weekend’s game will be a true test for the Tigers as they host the also undefeated Langley Mustangs in a tilt of powerhouses this Sunday, September 23.

The Mustangs held the Rams to no score in Week 1 and then went on to a narrow victory over Victoria in Week 2. They followed those two wins up with yet another shutout this time over the Cowichan Bulldogs just last Sunday.

Both teams have a history of being well-coached, tough and physical in their play so one has to wonder, with the only other team left undefeated being the North Surrey Panthers, will it be an all-Surrey set of division leaders or will Langley shake up the balance of power.

Game time is 1:45 pm at North Surrey’s Bear Creek Park.
