Midget: North Delta Longhorns vs Vancouver Trojans

This weekend looks to hold several interesting games as many of the winners from the opening weekend last Sunday are matched up to play against each other. One such match-up sees the North Delta Longhorns, who have traditionally had strong teams over recent years, travel to Vancouver to play the Trojans.

The Trojans dominated the Raiders last week in a 49-0 win and have been rumoured to have a good team this year. Despite the Longhorns losing their home opener, fans know that North Delta should make a run for the playoffs so this Sunday’s game against Vancouver should be rather intriguing. A close loss or even a win will send a message to the league that the Trojans are back. A loss by North Delta and it might end up being a long road back to the playoffs.

Game time is 1:45 pm at Rupert Park in Vancouver.

Pee Wee: North Surrey Cardinals vs Westside Warriors

The North Surrey Cardinals, under the leadership of former Midget Bears head coach Joe Connelly, put on an impressive offensive performance last Sunday mounting 50 points on the visiting South Delta Rams. This week they travel to Vancouver take on the Westside Warriors, a team that two years ago took Westside to the Provincial championship game in the Atom Division and came home with the hardware.

Westside’s solid performance last weekend against Coquitlam shows that the Warriors are back to once again make a run for the top position this time in the Pee Wee division. This game is sure to showcase some explosive offensive players.

Game time is 12:45 pm at Carnarvon Park in Vancouver.
