Midget: Vernon Magnums vs North Surrey Bears

For the third year in a row, the Midget Division of the VMFL will integrate their schedule with the Valley Community Football League resulting in a true British Columbia wide Provincial Midget league. Adding to this season is the entrance of the Vernon Magnums under the coaching tutelage of Head Coach Bill Tarr.

Last season the Bears finished sixth overall in the league. After winning their first round of the playoffs, North Surrey went on to a tough defeat against North Delta in the quarterfinals. This year, the Bears return with a younger and more rejuvenated team thanks to the fact that North Surrey now has two Bantam-aged teams to feed them.

As for the Magnums, this will be the first chance for the league to see what Vernon brings to the table.

Game time is Sunday, September 2 at Bear Creek Park in North Surrey. Kickoff is 3:30 pm.
