AAA: RB Broxx Comia (New West Hyacks) – Broxx Comia (Grade 10) helped his team overcome an 11-point third quarter deficit by rushing for 227 yards and added 2 touchdowns on 12 carries. In the end, the Hyacks won 28-19 over Notre Dame of Calgary.

TE Ben Hladik

AA: TE Ben Hladik (Vernon) – Ben Hladik grabbed three touchdowns and put up 179 yards of receiving in the Panthers 27-7 win over Robert Bateman. Earlier last week, Hladik became the first player in the UBC Thunderbirds 2017 recruiting class.

 

Other Notable Performers Last Week

* Van Collegesā€™ Michael Le carried 24 times for 153 yards and scored 2 touchdowns in an Irish 20-19 win over Terry Fox.

* St. Thomas Moreā€™s Tyler Eckert rushed for 115 yards and scored 3 TDā€™s for the Knights in a 28- 6 win over Notre Dame.

* Carson Grahamsā€™ Sterling Storey produced 170 yards on the ground and had a 69-yard score in an 8-7 loss to W.J. Mouat. Middle linebacker Wyatt Gilson recorded 20 tackles to go along with 3 sacks.

* Handsworthsā€™ QB Sam Tholl went 13-23 on the day for 240 yards and 2 touchdowns in a Royals 19-6 victory over G.W. Graham. The Royals defense also came up big with a total of five interceptions in the game.

* Lord Tweedsmuirsā€™ Derek Best scored on runs of 3, 22, and 36 yards in the Panthers 24-14 win over Belmont.

* Centennial QB Max Kennedy broke the 100-yard barrier on the ground and rushed for 1 touchdown in the Centaurs 18-6 victory over West Vancouver.

* Mt. Douglasā€™ Matthew Cooley was a force on the ground scoring 2 touchdowns and rushed for 144 yards on 21 carries in a 35-18 win over John Barsby.

* New Westsā€™ Shane Belsher led the Hyacks defense with 8 tackles in their 28-19 win over Notre Dame of Calgary.

* Prince Georgesā€™ Kaiden Witso went off on the D.P. Todd defense registering 5 touchdowns in the Polars 39-0 win.

* Vernonā€™sā€™ Thomas Hyett went 17-25 for 274 yards and threw for 3 touchdowns in his teamsā€™ 27-7 win over Robert Bateman.

* Seaquamsā€™ Tyson Philpot returned a kick-off 76 yards to the house and also caught a 37-yard touchdown pass in the Seahawks 47-14 victory over Langley.
