As reported in the Nanaimo News, the VI Raiders have hired Doug Hocking as their new head coach for the 2017 season.Ā He will take over for Jerome Erdman who is going back to U Sports and the Bishop’s Gaiters in the AUS.
Hocking, was the defensive coordinator in 2006 and was the interim head coach in 2007. He went on to various coaching positions, but was back as the defensive coordinator last year.
The Raiders spring camp starts May 5th in Nanaimo.
