Calgary Midget: CAMFA – WEEK 6 recap “Bring on the playoffs”

WILDCATS (22) VS LIONS (6)

Wildcats: Jackson Bokenfohr started in place of Ben Kopczynski and showed very well passing for 1 TD

Wildcats: Jags Bahia had another good game scoring 1 Receiving TD off a screen
Wildcats: Nate Tiemstra scored 1 Rushing TD on a sweep
Wildcats: Jesse Williams scored his first TD of the season on a Dive up the middle
Wildcats: The defense was terrific all night getting great contributions from Ryan Baker, Eric Roberts, Misha Drury and young Eric Gafos
Wildcats: Micah Teitz recovered 1 Fumble

Lions: James Berglund continued to be the brightest spark in the Lions O as he scored 1 Receiving TD
Lions: Levi Jackson was solid passing for 1 TD
Lions: Jeff Haskell and Kevin Natinstadt played well on D each finishing the game with 1 INT
Lions: Mike Quillian and Josh Hadley were also solid on D delivering several big hits

STAMPS (26) VS FALCONS (28)

Stamps: James Gaetz lead the Stamps O with 1 Receiving and 1 Rushing TD
Stamps: As he has done all season long, Justin Keys was very productive and scored 1 TD on an off tackle run which he spun off one defender and ran for 50+ yards before diving for the pylon with a defender all over him
Stamps: Josh Sobrey played well on defense and had 1 INT0
Stamps: Trent Joseph was dominant as well on the defensive side of the ball

Falcons: Chris Merchant was terrific scoring 3 Rushing TDs and 2 Field Goals
Falcons: Alex Cho, Nolan O’Reilly and Alex Basilas all played great on O each making big clutch catches down the stretch
Falcons: Joel Fiegs had a nice game hauling in 1 INT
Falcons: Kurtis Paley and Drake Comber were big on D not allowing for much production in the box

MAVS (10) VS TOPPERS (25)

Mavericks: AJ Statz scored first for the Mavs after he caught a deflected ball and took it 50+ yards for a Receiving TD
Mavericks: Aaron and Nick Statz both had 1 INT
Mavericks: Tyson Lee was all over the field for the defense holding the unit together

Hilltoppers: Tyler Chow was excellent all night long scoring 2 Rushing TDs
Hilltoppers: After misjudging a ball earlier in the game and allowing a long TD, Bowan Lewis picked off a Boston Rowe pass which lead to the long drive resulting in the Tyler Chow TD to seal the game.
Hilltoppers: The Toppers D came up huge with a 3rd and inches stop deep in their own end to halt a Mavs drive to start the 3rd quarter.
Hilltoppers: Besides the long Statz TD the Toppers kept the Mavs big play stars in check and kept the Mavs to 2 and outs for most of the game.

COLTS (13) VS BULLDOGS (9)

Colts: Dallas Boath stole the show with 2 unbelievable Receiving TDs
Colts: Austen Hartley continued his great season with a solid performance racking up several receptions and creating yards after the catch
Colts: Giuseppe (Juice) Di Vincenzo played a terrific game on D causing havoc in the backfield
Colts: Leland Yardy played hard with a few big hits

Bulldogs: Liam Asuchak was all over the field making several big plays to keep the Bulldogs in the game
Bulldogs: Bubba Brown played solid despite being injured
Bulldogs: Tim Wong kicked 2 Field Goals
Bulldogs: Liam McCorquodale and Brady Hornung both had solid games on O for the Dogs however they just couldn’t finalize drives

FIRE (63) VS RAIDERS (14)

Fire: Matt Russell had a tremendous game scoring 1 Receiving TD, 1 Rushing TD and 1 TD on a Kickoff Return.
Fire: Tyler Ledwos played well scoring 1 Receiving TD
Fire: Myles Corsiatto scored 1 Receiving TD
Fire: Quade Smith lead the defense with 1 INT which he returned for a TD
Fire: Jordan Briault also scored 1 Receiving TD
Fire: Linden Peterson scored 1 Rushing TD

Raiders: Austin Lappage scored 1 Receiving TD
Raiders: Josh Duazo ran well and scored off a 2 yard Rushing TD to cap off a drive in which he had several big runs.
Raiders: Philip Hallet made a few big catches down the stretch of the game
Raiders: Again the Raiders roster numbers were low this week forcing several guys to play both ways.

BRONCOS (0) VS COWBOYS (47)

Broncos: Although the defense made plays the lack of offensive production killed the Broncos
Broncos: Jace Passey played a solid game locking down his man most of the game
Broncos: James Coffman was another bright spot for the Broncos

Cowboys: Connor Ingstrup had a great game throwing the ball with 2 Passing TDs
Cowboys: Lukas Snyder scored 2 long Receiving TDs of 50 and 70 yards
Cowboys: 3 different backs, Omari Fraser, Franco Poon and Tyler Sceviour, scored rushing TDs
Cowboys: David Di Gianvittorio had 1 INT and 2 Field Goals
Cowboys: Defense was solid as usual even when playing their back ups for most of the game
