CFC 100 Lake Forest trio signs with NCAA teams

In an announcement earlier today at Lake Forest Academy, three Canadians signed Letters of Intent with NCAA teams.

Wesley Annan NCAA Signing Day 2

CFC#2 Wesley Annan officially signed the dotted line with FBS team Stanford Cardinals.

This past November, he made the decision after deliberating over 20 teams including  Illinois Fighting Illini, Syracuse Orange, Ball State Cardinals, Bowling Green Falcons, Brown Bears, Bucknell Bison, Central Michigan Chippewas, Colgate Red Gators, Cornell Big Red, Duke Blue Devils, Harvard Crimson, Holy Cross Crusaders, Maryland Terrapins, Mississippi State Bulldogs, Rutgers Scarlet Knights, Toledo Rockets, Tulane Green Wave, West Michigan Broncos, Boston College Eagles, New Mexico Lobos, Ole Miss Rebels and Virginia Cavaliers.

The CFC 100 attended Lake Forest this past fall. Other teams he has previously suited up north of the border for include the Toronto Thunder of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL) and the Donald A Wilson Gators of the Lake Ontario Secondary School Athletic Association (LOSSAA).

Dejon Brisset NCAA Signing Day 2

Additionally, CFC 100 Dejon Brissett has signed with FCS team Richmond Spiders.  The 6’2, 180 pound wide receiver from Mississauga, Ontario amassed 862 yards on 43 receptions and scored eight touchdowns this past season with Lake Forest.  He was named Conference Player of the Year, Team Captain and MVP.

Malcolm Chaka 1

Finally, CFC 100 Malcolm Chaka inked with FCS Team Cornell Big Red.

After narrowing his top three choices to Cornell, Harvard and Brown, the 6’3, 205 pound standout from Mississauga, Ontario took in official visits.  Once he arrived at Cornell, he was sold on the campus and team.

“The decision was made when I took my official visit out to Cornell,” recalled Chaka.  “When I went out there and met some of the guys on the team, and got personal interaction with the coaching staff off the football field, I really felt that it was home for me.”

Chaka just completed a stint with Lake Forest Academy.  Previously, the defensive back suited up north of the border for both the Father Michael Goetz Gators of the Region of Peel Secondary School Athletic Association (ROPSSAA) and Mississauga Warriors of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL).
