CFC OVFL Game of the Week Preview: Thunder continue to rumble

The varsity Scarborough Thunder capped off a successful second week with a formidable 34-13 victory over the Oshawa Hawkeyes.

The stout Thunder defense has yet to give up two touchdowns over the past two games. Β Dylan Laird leads the Thunder defense with nine solo tackles and an interception.

Quarterback Brett Watson has spearheaded the Thunder’s aerial attack with 29 completions for over 500 yards and six touchdowns over the past two games.

Running back Rakeem Simms currently has two touchdowns, and 108 yards on 18 carries.

The undefeated varsity Thunder squad is matched up against inter-city rival Metro Toronto Wildcats. They will be looking to stay undefeated in the battle of Toronto.

The Thunder will play host to the Wildcats this Saturday at 3pm at Mary Ward Catholic School.
