For the seventh year in a row, Canadafootballchat.com (CFC) is pleased to bring you the national high school football rankings known as the #CFC50. The #CFC50 rankings considers all conference and non-conference games (in Canada and the United States) while scrimmages are not evaluated (there is no such thing as an exhibition game – those are non-conference games).
How is the #CFC50 evaluated?
Leagues included in rankings: British Columbia AAA Varsity, Alberta Tier One, Saskatchewan 12-man 4A, Manitoba AAA Varsity, Ontario OFSAA Bowl AAA qualified teams, Quebec Juvenile Division 1, New Brunswick 12-man, Nova Scotia Tier 1. The #CFC50 is a relative ranking that considers top tier leagues from all eight high school playing provinces (minimum one team represented from each province). The CFC Scouting Bureau consists of twenty-seven CFC Reporters, CFC Scouts, and also selected local reporters and scouts who submit local ranking results on a weekly basis.
Among the criteria used in the weekly compilation of the #CFC50 rankings are strength of schedule, the ability to accomplish the ultimate goal on a team’s schedule (i.e. winning a championship), impact players and performers, a team’s coaching and recent tradition. The CFC50 is released every Monday (other than on Holidays) at 12 noon.

#CFC50 Top 10
No. 1 St. Francis Browns – The Browns versus the Pride this weekend. Game of the year outside of playoffs. Need we say more!
No. 2 W.F. Herman Green Griffins – Herman continues to put points on the board with their 50-0 win over Villanova.
No. 3 Bev Facey Falcons – Will anybody slow this team down or is it going to take the Browns or the Pride to do so?
No. 4 Leboldus Golden Suns – The Suns are too hot to handle. The only thing that can put them out is a snow storm.
No. 5 A. N. Myer Marauders – AN Myer will not be tested until deep into the playoffs.
No. 6 Séminaire Saint-François Blizzard – The Blizzard continue to make their opponent’s days stormy. They remain in 6th spot for another week.
No. 7 Mount Douglas Rams – The Rams continue their winning ways behind one of the top young QB’s in all of Canada.
No. 8 Cardinal Newman Cardinals – Newman continues to dominate the Hamilton Catholic league with an impressive win over the St. Mary’s Crusaders.
No. 9 St. Paul’s Crusaders – St. Paul’s is in a familiar spot as they once again are locking out their opponents in the ‘Peg.
No. 10 Collège Notre-Dame Cactus – The Cactus continue to regain their form following a disappointing loss earlier in the season.
