#CFCOPC16 RECAP (Freshmen): Warner steers Team West to victory over Team Central [stats]

On Saturday at Tim Horton’s Field in Hamilton, Team West scored three touchdowns in the second half to win the 2016 Ontario Prospect Challenge prospect game 34-21 over Team Central.

At halftime, Team West had a 20-14 lead and never really looked back

In the fourth quarter, Team Central tried to get close to Team West in the third quarter as they scored on a one yard sneak. Β However, Team West sealed the victory with a 18 yard major.

During the game, Team West amassed 232 passing yards as opposed to 140 yards from Team Central. Moreover, Team West had 17 first downs versus 11 by Team Central while Team Central had four interceptions to just only one by Team West.

Team West quarterback Michael Warner was selected as Big Kahuna Sports Company Game MVP. Β Additonally, Team West running back Josh Munoz and Team Central Israel Brathwaite were chosen as Spalding Co-Offensive Players of the Game and Josh Medeiros took Russell Athletics Defensive Player of the Game.
