Chatham Peewee Cougars got off to a fast start scoring early and quickly at home in their Quarterfinals playoff game.Ā The Cougars moved the ball well offensively all game with Skyler Mattia earning another 3 rushing touchdowns and Caleb Roberts adding 1 rushing and 2 receiving touchdowns on long passes from Sawyer Emmott.Ā Jacob Pretty had a productive day running the ball as well.Ā Reed Larson hit 3 PATs.
Cougars defence held strong on a number of drives resulting in 4thĀ down stops, using a collective effort to swarm the Bisonās run game. Ā Defensive standouts were Mattia, CJ Roberts, Conor Graham & Noah Bourbonnais.Ā Tezmond Hadden had a long return off an interception and Elliot Peco recovered a kickoff.
Cougars host the Brampton Bulldogs in Semi-Final actionĀ July 21.
