Cougars dominate all weekend

Varsity Cougars win 23-7 against Oakville Titans

TDs were scored by Jonny Cartier who had a 38 yard run and over 140 yards rushing for the day.Ā  Ben Barnard rushed for a 43 yard TD run and Ethan Jordan caught an 18 TD pass from Evan Torres.Ā Ā Cam Creechan had 2Ā field goals.

Defense played a very strong game.Ā  Great defensive effort.Ā  Interceptions by Connor Wright, Brendan Bondy, Quinton Emerick.

 

Chatham 39 @ Oakville 66

Peewee Cougars offence kept fighting right up to the final buzzer but came up short against a tough opponent.Ā  Caleb Roberts had another outstanding game scoring TDs on runs of 60yds & 40yds and hauling in a 60yd pass from QB Sawyer Emmott.Ā  Roberts also forced a fumble on defence at the Cougars 5yd line and returned it 100yds.Ā  CJ Roberts also caught a pass from Emmott and took it 50yds to the end zone as time expired.

CJ Roberts lead the defence with 9 tackles while Jacob Pretty and Conor Graham added 4 each.

An outstanding effort by the special teams kickoff return team, scooping up all 6 of Oakvilleā€™s onside kick attempts.

Cougars look to reboundĀ next SaturdayĀ as they travel to Brantford.

 

JV Cougars have another dominating performance winningĀ 52-0 on the roadĀ against the Oakville Titans.

Tyler Shumanski scored 2 TD on the day and had over 140 yards of offense and had a brilliant 72 yard kickoff return on the opening kickoff.

Logan Stefina scored 3 TDs, 2 on the ground and 1 through the air.Ā  Logan also converted on all his extra points and was able to kick a couple of rouges and had a INT on defense.

Brent Wygerzyn and Brandon Benoit rounded out the scoring TDs each.

Darion Bacik-Hadden threw for 2 TDs and was very accurate throughout the day leading the passing attack.Ā  Darion also had 6 tackles and controlled the defense from the middle LB spot.

Ethan Chenier Lane lead the team in tackling with 7 tackles and had 3 sacks.

Brayden Charboneau lead the team with 2 INTs.

JV Cougars are undefeated this season.
