Participants across the country from British Columbia to Prince Edward Island gathered in Montréal for Football Canada’s 2013 Annual General Meeting (AGM) from May 29- June 1.
NCCP Community Sport Coach highly recommended for football coaches
- A recommendation was adopted by Football Canada to highly recommend that under-13 coaches take the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Community Coach context
- The training includes an online portion
- Also included in the training is the new Safe Contact module
Impact testing pilots
- Football Saskatchewan (via Saskatoon Minor) and the Ontario Football Alliance (via National Capital Amateur Football Association) conducting new individual pilots measuring helmet impacts using Shockbox sensors
- The data gathered from these pilots will be used by Football Canada in an effort to make football safer for players across the country

- Richard MacLean (Halifax, NS) elected Football Canada President taking over for Roger Collette
- Rick Henkewich nominated to represent Manitoba
- Longtime board member, Gino Castellan will continue as Alberta’s representative
- Interim New Brunswick representative Matt Hiltz will continue as their representative
