Grenadiers to host OPFL Championship finals

Senior team looks to secure playoff spot with a win on Canada Day

Kingston, ON – The Ontario Provincial Football League (OPFL) announced yesterday the Grenadiers will host the premier league’s championship finals on Sunday, August 6 at Richardson Stadium.

“The Grenadiers know how to put on a football game,” says OPFL president Bill Martindale. “Richardson Stadium is an amazing facility for teams to play in. It has first-rate amenities and the game-day atmosphere is top-notch.”

Martindale also commended the Kingston community for its tremendous support of local football.

“We are very excited to host the league finals in the OPFL’s inaugural season,” says GMen executive director Alexandra Reyes-Walsh. “Hosting such a high-caliber event in Kingston simply wouldn’t have been a possibility without our strong partnerships with Queen’s University and local businesses.”
