Hamilton Steeler Junior Varsity Team 1 & 2 combine for 66 to 0 outcomes


On a warm and sunny day at Hamilton’s Ivor Wynne Stadium, both Hamilton Steeler Junior Varsity teams came away with Victories.

In the first of 3 Ontario Minor Football League games on the day, the Hamilton Steelers ‘1’ team (a.k.a the 1993s) defeated the Clarington Tigercats by a score of 44 to 0.

GAME NOTES:
– QB Alex Hill threw and ran for TDs – he finished the day with one rushing TD
– REC / K Anthony Pizzuti caught one touchdown and kicked 5 single converts
– RB/LB Max Catterson caught one touchdown and was a force on defense
– Matt Barkovich scored a touchdown
– Daniel Gies caught a touchdown
– Hamilton had one team safety
FANS OF GAME:
– Jess Tanti, Mady, Sharon & David

In the second Junior Varsity game the Hamilton Steelers ‘2’ team (a.k.a. the 1994s) defeated the Brampton Bulldogs 22 to 0. Both teams had many turnovers from bad quarterback / center exchanges, from both under center and in shot gun formation.

GAME NOTES:

– Batista Briatico kicked 3 single converts and one rouge
– TD’s scored by Cort Cameron, Micheal Brown, and Dalton Crichton
– Brampton had a late game TD called back by offsetting offside penalities
– Dalton Crichton had a late game interception to close out the contest
