Anavets Bowl (AAA)
Dakota Lancers (23), Sturgeon Heights Huskies (6)
The Dakota Lancers will advance to the semi-finals after winning their game against the Sturgeon Heights Huskies, 23-6.

Sisler Spartans (38), Steinbach Sabres (21)
The Steinbach Sabres lost a hard fought game against the Sisler Spartans, 38-21. Steinbach fell behind 10-0 early before Cade Penner intercepted a pass at midfield. The Sabres would score their first major on a fake field goal in which Eric Adams completed a pass to Tyler Bueckert for a 32 yard touchdown. Sisler added another touchdown to make the score 17-7 with two minutes remaining in the first half. Sheycoy Selent hauled in a pass from Sawyer Thiessen just before halftime to make it 17-14 going into halftime.
Early in the 3rd quarter Sisler went up 24-14. On the ensuing kickoff, Steinbachβs Sheycoy Selent took the ball to the house for a 95 yard score, but there was a flag on the play and the Sabres were unable to recover. The Spartans jumped out to a 31-14 advantage before Sawyer Thiessen found Eric Adams for a 15 yard touchdown to make it 31-21. Sisler scored the final touchdown late to make it 38-21.
Steinbachβs Top Performers:
Grade nine quarterback Sawyer Thiessen completed 16 of 37 passes for 264 yards, 2 touchdowns and 3 interceptions.
Eric Adams caught 9 passes for 182 yards and 1 touchdown. Eric was also 1 for 1 passing with a 32 yard touchdown.
Sheycoy Selent hauled in 6 passes for 38 yards and 1 touchdown.
Tyler Bueckert had 9 carries for 26 yards, 1 32 yard catch and 7 tackles.
Overall, Jamie Peters mentioned it was a great year for the Sabres football program stepping up into the top 10 of the province. βJob well done boys,β said Peters. βTo get to the top 4 we need to BE BETTER! Hit the weights, hit the film room, commit to the cause and go get this thing!β

Fridayβs first game has the St. Paulβs Crusaders matching up with the Vincent Massey Trojans at 5:00 pm at Investors Group Field and the late game has the Dakota Lancers and Sisler Spartans at 7:30 pm.

St. Paulβs Crusaders (14), River East Kodiaks (3)
The St. Paulβs Crusaders will make their way into the second round of the playoffs after topping the River East Kodiaks, 14-3.
Kelvin Clippers (34), Neelin Spartans (12)
The Kelvin Clippers continue their undefeated season by eliminating the Neelin Spartans from the playoffs by a score of 34-12.
Vincent Massey Vikings (29), Dryden Eagles (19)
Both teams had a regular season record of 5-2 heading into this match up. Vincent Massey has advanced to the semi-finals after defeating Dryden, 29-19.

On Thursday night the Oak Park Raiders take on the Kelvin Clippers at Investors Group Field at 7:30pm.
Fridayβs semi-final has the St. Paulβs Crusaders and Vincent Massey Vikings meeting up at East Side at 4:30pm.

St. Johnβs Tigers (22), Daniel MacIntyre Maroons (28)
The Daniel MacIntyre Maroons remain undefeated on the year after defeating the St. Johnβs Tigers 28-22 in the first round of the WHSFL playoffs. CFC 100 Rain Slater has played his final game as a senior for the Tigers.
Miles MacDonnel Buckeyes (10), Crocus Plains Plainsmen (11)
The Crocus Plains Plainsmen squeaked out a win against the Miles Mac Buckeyes 11-10 to advance to the semi-finals.
Elmwood Giants (6), Portage Collegiate Trojans (23)
The Elmwood Giants were eliminated from the quarter-finals 23-6 by the Portage CollegiateTrojans.
Kildonan East Reivers (23), Beaver Brae Broncos (12)
The Kildonan East Reivers won their game against the Beaver Brae Broncos 23-12. This football game was postponed from last week and played on Monday due to weather conditions.

The Tec Voc Hornets were eliminated by the Churchill Bulldogs, 34-18.
Fort Frances Muskies (19), Maples Marauders (0)
The Fort Frances Muskies will play in the semi-finals after taking out the Maples Marauders, 19-0. This game was also postponed due to weather.

On Thursday at 4:30pm the Fort Frances Muskies will entertain the St. Norbert Celtics and at 7:00 pm the Churchill Bulldogs will clash with the West Kildonan Wolverines, both games are at East Side.
