Jr. Argos prep for rematch

OFC JV: Jr. Argos prep for Wolverine rematch

The junior varsity Toronto Jr. Argonauts are inching closer towards a playoff spot after beating the Clarington Knights 44-17.

The win was extremely important for the 4-3 Jr. Argos who have been put in a must win situation. If they have any hopes in making the playoffs they need to find another way to win this Sunday.

This week the Jr. Argos will have a rematch with the Peterborough Wolverines. In week 2, the Jr. Argos lost to their rivals in a devastating fashion, 40-6. Head coach Derek McDonald will be looking for a strong effort as the Wolverines will be looking to not only repeat the win, but also keep their perfect record intact.

After the first game against the Wolverines, head coach Derek McDonald said that it was ā€œOne of the hardest hitting games (at any level) that he had ever seen.ā€

We can expect much of the same this Sunday at 2:00PM at St. Michaelā€™s College Field.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
