Junior National Team seeks assistant coaches

Job Description

Football Canada is accepting applicants for Assistant Coachesā€™ positions for a period covering two U20 World Championships (2014 and 2016). The positions will begin in 2013.

The Assistant Coaches will work closely with the Head Coach and Football Canadaā€™s Director of High Performance in recruiting and selecting players, to participate in the 2014 International Federation of American Football (IFAF) U20 Junior World Championship to be held in July 2014.

The selected candidates will be responsible in providing a positive experience through their leadership of a competitive junior football program that values respect, teamwork and achievement.

Qualifications

  • Ā·Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  Canadian citizen
  • Ā·Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  Member of Football Canada via their Provincial Association
  • Ā·Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  Fully Certified NCCP Level III or in-training in the NCCP Competition-Development Context
  • Ā·Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  Coached at an elite level (i.e. CFL, CIS, CJFL, CEGEP, Football Canada Cup, or Provincial Championship)
  • Ā·Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  Head coach or assistant coach for at least a five year period
  • Ā·Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  Proven record of experience in coaching events involving American football rules (i.e. exhibition games, exchanges, summer camps)
