JV Wildcats overwhelm

The Junior Varsity Metro Toronto Wildcats returned to their winning ways after taking down the Markham Raiders, 42-20.

The first half was very close with a 14-13 score, but the second half would be dominated by the Wildcats.

The Wildcats’ defense played extremely well, stopping the Raiders on almost every attempt. Raiders’ no. 14 Austin Gonsalves had an amazing game proving he was the most important offensive weapon. However, the Wildcats adjusted well and were able to play shut down defense for the rest of the game.

With the win, the Wildcats move into fifth place and improve to 2-1. This Saturday, the Wildcats will play the Newmarket Bucs who are 1-2 and sit in 15th place. The Wildcats have the opportunity to keep moving up the standings with a win, but do not expect the Bucs to go down without a fight.
