April 30, 2017 – sets out to conquer the United States. The Université de Montréal Carabins kicker was invited to the New York Giants’ Mini-camp, which will be held May 12-14.
Ménard Brière has been contacted by the Giants’ management over the past few days in order to participate in this camp gathering the players selected during the NFL draft of this weekend and some players autonomous guests.
The Giants wants to evaluate the athlete’s kicking skills, which maintained the country’s best average last year (42.2 yards). The 23-year-old student-athlete will also be evaluated for his kick-offs and as content during the placement attempts.
“I am very proud of this achievement and I am naturally very excited to come to this camp and offer the best of myself for three days,” said Ménard-Brière. Named to the first all-Canadian U-SPORTS team at the end of last season, Ménard-Brière was named Special Teams Player of the Week four times last year. He achieved a 93-yard pass on October 23rd, a Quebec record and the eighth-longest in the history of the Canadian university network. The Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts kicker also scored 17 of his 25 attempts.
Ménard-Brière was invited to participate in the regional NFL specialist evaluation camp on 26 February in Washington. At the CFL regional evaluation camp, he impressed with his athletic qualities by setting the fastest time of all participants in three events, including the 40-yard sprint.

Ménard-Brière became the third player in the history of the Carabins program to win an invitation for an NFL mini-camp. Linebacker Byron Archambault, also with the Giants, and offensive lineman David Foucault with the Carolina Panthers have already experienced the experience.
The former nominee of Collège Montmorency is also eligible for the Canadian Football League draft next Sunday, May 7th.
