The 6’2″, 185lbs prospect originally hails from Winnipeg, MB, where he began his high school career playing for the Oak Park Raiders with multiple 1000 yard rushing seasons and the Team MVP award twice. He eventually made the switch to defensive back, and finished his high school days at Clearwater Academy in Florida.

Kelly had plenty of offers to choose from with Kansas State, Purdue, Ohio, Liberty and Western Michigan also showing interest, but Minnesota was the place to be. He will look to follow in the footsteps of CFC100 DB Benjamin St-Juste, who was drafted by the Washington Football Team after transferring to Minnesota to finish his NCAA career.
