The 30th ranked prospect in Canada is heading to Old Dominion with CFC100 Class of 2022 LB Jude Buchanan officially announcing his commitment to the Monarchs on NCAA National Signing Day.

The 6’2″, 225lbs prospect began his high school career in Vancouver where he strapped up at CFC50 Notre Dame, but then decided to take his talents down south to play at Trinity-Pawling School in New York. Eventually he crossed borders again, this time to Blair Academy in New Jersey, where he was named All-MAPL and Defensive Player of the Year.

Buchanan also received offers from Albany, Stony Brook and Fordham, but Old Dominion are the lucky one’s to unearthed this hidden gem in Canada. It’s not the first with the Monarchs also signing CFC60 WR Frederik Antoine out of Montreal, who’s entering his redshirt sophomore year.

Buchanan was also named to the 2020 CFC Prospect Game that was unfortunately not played due to the pandemic.
