The 6’0″, 190lbs prospect originally hails from Surrey, B.C., where he began his high school career at CFC50 Lord Tweedsmuir before eventually crossing the continent to finish his studies at Clearwater Academy in Florida.
It was an interesting recruiting journey for States-Jones who received offers from UMass, Liberty, Bryant, Charleston Southern, Brown, Stetson, UT Martin and Morehead State, but he decided to join his teammate and provincial partner CFC100 WR Caeleb Schlachter at South Alabama. The last Canadian we have knowledge of attending South Alabama is QB Myles Gibbon, who finished his university career in Canada at York University.
