NCAFA (Ottawa): 1/4 final recap – Joel Briere goes off for five TD’s

TYKE

QB Nolan Harris led the offence helped by the running of Jake Miles while Trey Smith and Cameron Walsh stood out on defense as Bell moves on to the semi-finals.

Haven Holder and John Furano each rushed for over 150 yards and scored all of the Redskins TD’s as Nepean moves on in the playoffs.

Myers Stefanos Mellios and Massimo Toscano were solid on defense with key tackles. Adam O’Connell and Mickael Roy gave the offence many scoring opportunities, but the Gatineau Vikings prevailed.

Bel Air’s Ethan Williams rushed for his first TD.  Evan Daly had several big gains. Gamali Amable and Tyler Clostre had INT’s, and Kelly Paquette had a strong game.

MOSQUITO

Joel Briere had five TD’s in the Nepean Redskins victory over the Gatineau Vikings.

Bel Air’s JP Cimankinda kicked the deciding convert following Dany Lukusa’s TD, in a thrilling game. Liam Paquette and Connor Williams were standouts on defense.

PEE WEE

Bell Warriors’ QB Quinn Stewart threw for 4 touchdowns and kept the team undefeated.
Jack Rabb, Guiled Awil, Brayden Lockyer, Joshua Nwaelleh (2) and Steven Hanzidiakou (2) all found the end zone.  Andrew Beattie scored off an INT.  Ross Polito had his first INT of the year.

Meech Lamirande-Kabuasa and Devon Corrigall-Mulready led Bel-Air in their best game of the season. Alex Childs and Aiden Magee had many tackles for the defense.

The Giants got TD’s from Jonathan Sutherland, Paul Debe, Luiji Vilian, and Nick Brunet. Kyle Lance returned an INT with big blocks from Franck Kayembe and Pat Brunet for a TD. Mason Thorpe and Devon Gall had big games as did Rakim Brooks and Jacob Falsetto. Brandon Lair had 2 INT’s.

Myers Riders’ Joe Donnelly, Brian Franklin and Jonah Larabie produced an early 3 TD lead.  Defensive Stars:  Jacob Beumer, Noah Goulet, Logan Souliere and Jeremy Tembo.
Special Teams Stars: Spener Brunet and Malik Sauve-Mohammed.

BANTAM

Bell’s Tyler Scott ( 3 ), Kiell Barrie, Haddon Rabb all had TD’s.  With no time left, Kyle Sheahan connected with Nate McCausland giving them the win.  Matthew James, Mitchell Henselwood and Brady Newbold were strong on defense.

Myers Riders’, Jahlen Ritchie returned an INT 100 yards for a TD.  Costa Jones and Enzo Trunzo also scored TDs for the Riders in the win.

RAIDERS
Raiders got TD’s from Tunde Adeleke, Cody Wistaff, Josh Bonner, Matty Wilson-Damiano, Dimitri Vaillancourt and Joey Wrinn. Will Karam had a big game on defense.  Mpamba Nzowa and Matt Lussier had fumble recoveries, Terry Lormil and Gary Lindo had INT’s, and Dimitri Vaillancourt had one of each.
