NCAFA Week 4: Wolverines Tripp scores four touchdowns, Lukusa leads Lions to offensive assault

The National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA) completed its 3rd week of the regular season.

Tyke

The Cumberland Panthers defence held the high scoring Orleans Bengals to just 3 majors.Ā  Panthers QB Matt Baptiste scored 2 TDs making it a close game.Ā  The final score was 19-13 for the Bengals.

The South Ottawa Mustangs defense was led by Klaus Paqout, LeSean Wilson and Aiden Blackett in a 53-6 win over the Cornwall Wildcats.Ā  The offensive charge was led by lineman Joey Imiq and Avery Williams.Ā  Austin Howard recorded 3 TDs with Paul Kabembaā€™s long runs and outstanding play by Devon Dowd.Ā  Karim Hogun completed the game with a full spring effort to score his first TD.

East Ottawa Generals DL Dylan Gilmoreā€™s fumble recovery late in the 4th quarter forced OT as the Generals defeated the Gatineau Vikings 20-13.Ā  Miguel Bedard, Oliver Pelc and Ian Foster all had key blocks leading to the 3 TDā€™s for the green and gold, but it was teammate Noah Porter-MacLennan with the game winning play as he stripped the ball away from the Vikings in OT.

Yanis Iloki ran for a pair of touchdowns and a convert, and threw a 34-yard TD pass to Preston Martin to lead the Nepean Redskins to a 55-0 win over the Brockville Buccaneers. Keegan Bertrand ran for 3 TDs while Graydon Rice ran for 2. Nick Boschetti led the team with seven solo tackles and returned an interception for a 15-yard touchdown. Owen Keenan registered five solo tackles for the Redskins.

West Carleton Wolverines Tyler Lightbody had 1 sack and 3 tackles for losses while Bradley Hogan had 5 tackles, 1 forced fumble and 1 fumble recovery in a 13-0 loss to Myers Riders.

The Gloucester South Raiders defeated the North Gloucester Giants 55-47 led by Santino Palozzolo with 4 TDs and 2 converts, Xzaivoius Valliancourt with 3 TDs and Antonio Corsi with 1 TD and 4 converts.Ā  Hieu Brooks also had a convert.Ā  Nick Maatouk, Carter Mauschitz, Zachary Ajaj, Caden Kearney and James MacDiamid led the defense.

Mosquito

The Gloucester South Raiders won their first game of the season against the North Gloucester Giants on the backs of 2 TDs by rookie QB Jordan Donston and multiple TDs by star running backs Kevin Victome and Prince Inanzala. Ā Key catches by Keaton Harrison helped complete the offence attack and win the game 44-43.

Offensive TDs for the South Ottawa Mustangs were scored by Godwin Madra and Danny Garvin in an 26-18 victory over the Cornwall Wildcats.Ā  Defensive standout Zach Vander Starren had an interception for a TD and a punt return for a TD to lead the Mustangs to the win.

Haven Holder rushed for 186 yards and four touchdowns while Jahmil Green-Anderson picked up 132 yards and 3 TDs as the Nepean Redskins blanked the Brockville Buccaneers 62-0.Ā  Tyson Cunning scored on a nine-yard run, and Ryan Licandro tossed a 45-yard TD to Daniel Falcone. Zendai Joseph kicked four two-point conversions. Defensively, cornerback Kyler Munro had three interceptions.

West Carleton Wolverines QB Tristan Ready had 125 yards passing for 2 TDs and an 80 yard TD run.Ā  Chloe McNeil had a 70 yard TD catch and run while Kevin Jorgensen had the same from 40 yards in a 42-20 loss to Myers Riders.

Djosy Lukusa scored 2 TDs for the Bel-Air Lions in a 21-14 victory over the Kanata Knights.Ā  Stephane Tshishimbi returned a punt 110 yards and Rabiy Hyderi had 2 INTs.

Jake Papalla scored 5 TDs while Thom Dulmage, Nathaniel Lawlor and Ben Edouard-Williams also scored for the Bell Warriors as they won 62-0 over the Outaouais Saints.Ā  The Warriors also got strong running by Josh Baylin and strong play on defense from Trey Oā€™Brien, Ethan Ryan, Manny Akol and Nicholas Walter.

Pee Wee

The Nepean Redskins held off a late rally Sunday to beat the Brockville Buccaneers 21-14. Honoreal Iloki rushed for 168 yards and 2 TDs, while Nic Sayah had 75 yards rushing and 1 TD. Sayah also ran for a two-point conversion while Liam Kennedy added an extra point. Connor Allen scored on a two-yard run for Brockville. Jack Wilson recovered a fumble in the end zone for the other Brockville TD.

West Carleton Wolverines RB Hayden Tripp had 215 yards rushing for 4 TDs, Owen Clement had 60 yards receiving and 1 TD and Braydon Lassenba had 101 yards passing in a 40-31 loss to Myers Riders.Ā  Kayne McGee had 6 tackles on defence while Joe Green had 7 tackles and a fumble recovery.Ā  Myers outlasted West Carleton thanks to solid offensive line play from Angelo Vushaj and James Wagner. Kyle Iveglia and Romeo Rose provided key defensive plays.

A great passing day for Dany Lukusa with key receptions by Richard Burton and JP Cimankinda permitted the Bel-Air Lions offence to have a solid game in a 52-18 victory over the Kanata Knights.Ā  Solid performances by Nick Cunnington-Bourbonnier, Connor Williams and Vincent Tyo made for another strong performance by the Lions.
