Northern Saskatchewan Football completed its regular season with two games being played to make up for wildfires. On Saturday, October 14 Cumberland House travelled to Sandy Bay and on Monday, October 16 Creighton travelled to Senator Myles Venne.

Cumberland House finished the season with a perfect 5-0 record by defeating the hometown Sandy Bay T-Wolves by a score of 44- 6. Cumberland was led by league leading scorer, Seth Sanderson, with two touchdowns. At halftime, a wedding was held on the field in Sandy Bay. Martin Custer and Jean Bear exchanged wedding vows under the goal posts at the end zone. We are proud of what football means to our communities and wish Mr. and Mrs. Custer all the best in their future.

The Creighton Kodiaks finished the season with a second place 4-1 record with a 49-6 victory over Senator Myles Venne. Shawn Francois led the victorious Kodiaks with three touchdowns.

With the regular season completed, the top two teams, the Cumberland House Islanders and Creighton Kodiaks will play for the Ralph Pilz Trophy this Saturday at the Max Clunie Field in Prince Albert. The kickoff will be at 2:00 PM. Come on out to cheer on some great northern football.
