OBIT: Metro Toronto Wildcats mourn President/Founder

Chuck Richardson, President/Founder (1998-2017) of the Metro Toronto Wildcats, has passed away according to the Wildcats social media.

“Chuck has been involved in football development at the High school and community level since 1983. He is a NCCP Level III certified coach, formerly Head Coach at Lawrence Park CI in Toronto and the first head coach for the Wildcats. During that span, he had coaching positions with several TSSAA All-Star teams and guest coaching spots with York and McMaster Universities.

In 1995, he founded the Lawrence Park Football Alumni Association (LPFAA) with the mandate to revive and fund the football programs at Lawrence Park CI and the community at large. Chuck formed the Wildcat program in the fall of 1998 as a substitute football program while the high school teachers withdrew services during that year’s work-to-rule campaign. He then stepped aside as HC of the “Metro Toronto” Wildcats in 2002 and has served as MTW President ever since.”
