OFC: JV Toronto Jr. Argos start a winning streak

The JV Toronto Jr. Argos beat the Clarington Knights 22-13 last Sunday to take fifth place in the OFC.

“Sometimes you have to win ugly” says head coach Carlo Onorati. Although the game was never at risk of being lost by the Jr. Argos, penalties once again kept the team from a dominating win.

Although the game was not the Jr. Argos best performance of the season, the team still had some players stand out above the pack.

For the offense, Jr. Argo clutch wide receivers Matthew Crocker and Rayshawn Smith made several big catches between the two of them. Running back Sarandis Sotiropoulos scored a TD and had a few good runs on the ground.

For the defense, linebackers Alex Brennan and Evan Shergold made a several great tackles. Finally, defensive lineman Josh Brown proved to be menace for the Knights offence all game.
