OFC: Stampeders sweep bantam and JV titles

Junior Varsity

Jordan Lyons ran for 211 yards and a touchdown to lead the Burlington junior varsity Stampeders to a 40-7 victory over Tri-City Predators in the Ontario Football Conference championship game.

Five other Stampeders scored a touchdown, including quarterback Brandon Smyk, who also threw for three touchdowns. Smyk connected with Brandon Solanki for a 49-yard strike and also threw TD passes to Connor McQuilkin and Eric Kells.

Michael Parent, who also had a touchdown, and Chris Lebert each ran for 67 yards as the Stamps finished with more than 350 yards rushing for the second game in a row.Β Β Defensively, Dylan Worth had 1.5 tackles and a 64-yard interception and Justin Veltri had a sack.

Bantam

Oakville Titans has scores from Calieal Dingwell (two touchdowns) and Jack Baldin returned a fumble for a major but it was not enough as the Stampeders dominated 76 to 22.
