Wyatt Bezuyen has played three years of atom house league in the Niagara Regional Minor Football Association (NRMFA) with the West Niagara Steelers.

He has also spent a year playing rep football with the Niagara Generals in the Ontario Varsity Fall Football League (OVFFL).

During Wyatt’s time on the field, he has played whatever positions his coach needed him to play, giving him a wide experience across offence, defence and special teams.

Although, he played the last six games of the season as quarterback after being put in as a replacement in result of injuries.

During the offseason, Wyatt plays school sports, such as flag rugby, volleyball and basketball. He also is involved with training camps for football.

This year Wyatt hopes to join a five star football league in Stoney Creek.

Moreover, he is participating in the Ontario Prospect Challenge (OPC) to help him improve his skills and techniques.

Wyatt’s goals for the OPC are, β€œto have the experience of different coaches, different teammates and to gain more experience in football.”

The General’s role model is his older brother, Tyler, because he would practice football with Wyatt when he was younger. Tyler taught Wyatt how to play the game, as well as every position.

He helped Wyatt become a better player.

The General loves football because he enjoys the different coaches and coaching styles he has experienced.

He also like meeting new teammates, becoming friends, working as a team and learning all the different positions.

β€œ(I) also enjoy the fact that there is contact involved in football,” said Wyatt. β€œ(I) enjoy running the ball and blocking in order to gain yards for (my) team.”

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
