Dave Johnson Jr. started his football career in the 2012/2013 fall season with the Brampton Bulldogs.

In 2014, he played with Father Michael Goetz secondary school.

The following spring, he joined the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL).

That same year in the fall, he won the ROPSSAA championships with the Notre Dame Knights.

Dave also played with Team Ontario in the 2015 Spalding Cup as a running back.

So far this year, he has participated in the International Developmental Fast Football League (IDFFL) 7×7.

The Knight also played with Team Ontario in the 2016 U17 International Bowl as a wide receiver.

β€œMy ultimate goal for Ontario Prospect Challenge (OPC) is to be ranked amongst one of the top 20 players of 2016 for the class of 2017,” said Dave.

The 2017 graduate, also aspires to make the #CFC100.

During his offseason, the Knight often trains with players from his team, as well as putting himself in the position to compete during my offseason.

Playing for 7v7 and provincial teams give him the ability to improve his skill in football during the offseason.

On the field, his role model is one of his coaches, Liston Bates, who has helped develop my football ability from a young age.

β€œAlso watching him be a leader while playing for Oakville Longhorns motivates me to do the same while I’m playing,” commented Dave.

The Knight loves football because he is able to show his athletic ability in front of a crowd.

β€œPlaying alongside people that I have developed a relationship with through football and feeling the sensation of winning a game with them is part of the reason why I love to play football,” said Dave.
